What is Starry Hill? [back]
Starry Hill is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing astronomy education and stargazing experiences to children and the adults connected to them.

We are located near the town of Eatonville, Washington, in the Cascade foothills at a dark-sky site where the Milky Way glows brightly in the night sky. Starry Hill is easily accessible from the surrounding communities of Puyallup, Spanaway, Elbe, Ashford, Yelm, Lakewood, Tacoma, Lacey, Olympia and more.

Starry Hill consists of both a planetarium and an observatory. In the planetarium, we offer ready-made fulldome shows as well as custom shows created for your visit. In the observatory and outdoor viewing area, we offer telescope and viewing activities. Both facilities can be used both day and night.

The facilities are available for scheduling by teachers and other leaders of groups of children. If you are a teacher in a public, private or home school group or if you are a leader of a scout, civic or other formal youth group and are looking for astronomy and stargazing activities for your children, contact us to discuss a visit.
